Eli Carter

Eli Carter is an Associate Professor of  Luso-Brazilian Studies at UVA. He holds a BA in Communications from the University of California, Davis and a PhD in Hispanic Languages and Literatures from the University of California, Los Angeles.  Eli's research focuses on Brazilian film, television, literature, and popular culture.

 

Currently, he is working on a book length project, analyzing the mode of production and aesthetics in film and television director Luiz Fernando Carvalho's microseries.
